I’m going to start out by saying that April was a strange reading month. There were reading slumps, there were mood shifts all across the board, and there were books I let sit on my currently reading shelf for arguably too long. Despite all of that, I did hit my reading goals for the month! I finished April by completing 14 books. That was largely due to my push at the end of the month, when I started picking up audiobooks again.

It’s easy to admit that March wasn’t the strongest reading month for me—and that’s okay! I had a few adventures throughout the month that distracted me from my normal reading habits. But what I wasn’t distracted from was my goal to work through my to-be-read pile. Specifically, pushing my focus toward catching up on my FairyLoot and ARC backlog. While I didn’t completely catch up in March, I hope to accomplish that before May rolls around!

The way I ✨screamed✨ when I saw the #FourthWing cap. Fairyloot strikes again with cute, wearable items! And the colors on that tote bag? Catch me using that everywhere I go. And, of course, I’m super excited for the book of the month #TheCrimsonMoth. I’ve never heard of it before, but I’m always down for a young adult fantasy romance. 💜

Cassandra Clare is an author I’ve been reading for over a decade. (It’s truly hard to conceptionalize that I’ve been reading her books since I was 13 years old.) So, of course, I have to grab every special edition of hers that I can to add to my collection. 💜

I hope the Leap Year treated you well and that you were able to enjoy that extra day of reading. I know I did! Especially since I started dipping my toes back into audiobooks after taking some time off to catch up on podcasts I’ve been listening to. Balancing out different reading mediums has truly helped me get through more stories quickly—all while enjoying them in any way I can, of course!

I’ll admit it—I knew what the January Fairyloot YA book was and I was absolutely stoked to see #AFragileEnchantment get the Fairyloot treatment! This is a book I was lucky enough to read in ARC format and it fully pulled me under its spell. (If you haven’t read this book yet, you’re in for an absolutely cozy treat!)
